Shatton Moor

The walk up Shatton Moor rewards you with proper views across the High Peak, and you won't need climbing experience to get there. The nearest caravan parks - Laneside and Derbyshire Hills are both within a couple of miles - make it a natural fit for a walking-focused park holiday around Buxton. You could easily combine this with explorations of the Castleton area or gentler walks through Hope Valley. It won't take up a whole day, which is the honest truth, so pair it with something else nearby if you're not the all-day rambler type. Worth doing if you're already in the area.
