The first time I pulled up to Seaview Stadium, I wasn't expecting much - it's the sort of place you drive past without really noticing. But this is where Lisburn Distillery plays their football, and if you're staying at either Dundonald Touring Caravan Park or The Pods at Streamvale nearby, it's worth a look if you're into grassroots sport.

It's a proper community ground, the kind where you'll actually see locals turning up on match days rather than corporate hospitality types. The stadium itself is functional rather than fancy - a few stands, a decent pitch, nothing that'll leave you gobsmacked. What makes it worth the short drive from Belfast is the authentic feel of it all. You get a genuine sense of what football means to the town without the pretension you'd find at bigger grounds.

Match day is obviously when to come if you can manage it. The atmosphere's friendly, prices are reasonable, and you'll rub shoulders with people who genuinely care about their team. If you're not catching a game, there's not a huge amount to linger for - twenty minutes to have a wander round the exterior, snap a photo if you're into that sort of thing, then move on to your next stop.

For caravan park visitors, it's a nice bit of local flavour that takes minimal effort to slot into a day out. Belfast's close enough if you want something bigger, but Seaview gives you a flavour of how football actually matters in Northern Ireland communities.
