Saint Paul's Methodist Church sits on a quiet street in Driffield, a proper little market town in East Yorkshire that doesn't get nearly enough attention. The building itself is a solid Victorian structure - red brick, nothing flashy, but it's got real character if you take a moment to actually look at it. The interior is what catches most visitors: decent stained glass, decent proportions, and that particular hush that old Methodist chapels have.

It's mainly of interest if you're into 19th-century religious architecture or tracking down your family history - the Methodist circuit round Driffield is well documented and local records folk know their stuff. You won't spend hours here, but it's worth a ten-minute detour if you're wandering round Driffield town centre anyway. The graveyard's quite atmospheric on a grey afternoon, which is saying something.

If you're staying at Seaways Glamping just up the road, it's an easy walk into town and makes a nice break from the site. Driffield itself has decent shops, a couple of decent pubs, and enough going on to fill a morning. Spring or autumn are best - summer gets a bit sticky, and winter's just grey all round here, though that does suit the mood of the place if you're after a bit of proper contemplation.
