You're deep in the Yorkshire Wolds here, where Racedale Plantation spreads across woodland that feels properly isolated despite being just a few miles south of Driffield. It's a working forest rather than a manicured attraction - the kind of place where you'll find yourself on decent walking trails threading between mature trees, with the landscape opening up enough to remind you why this corner of East Yorkshire has its own particular charm.

The tracks are manageable without being babied-over, so families with kids of any age will manage fine, though toddlers might find the longer routes tedious.
