About Rockrose Hole
Caving enthusiasts and adventurous teenagers will love the challenge, but families with young children should probably give it a miss. The entrance is deceptively small, and while the cave opens up inside, there are sections where larger adults might struggle. Allow at least an hour for a thorough exploration, though keen cavers could easily spend longer mapping every nook and cranny.
Being so close to Swansea, it makes an excellent addition to a Gower Peninsula holiday. Gower Holiday Village and Pitton Cross Caravan & Camping Park are both within easy reach, making this a cracking day out for those staying at either site. Just remember to bring spare clothes - you will get muddy. The cave's free to explore as far as I know, though finding it takes a bit of local knowledge. Worth asking at your holiday park for directions rather than relying on satnav alone.
