Upper Blackhole Cliff

The name sounds ominous but the reality is spectacular, especially on clear days when you can see across to Devon's coastline. Mind the edge though - these are proper cliffs with serious drops.

Photography enthusiasts should time their visit for late afternoon when the light turns the bay golden. Early morning can be magical too, with fewer crowds and often clearer visibility.

Staying at one of the nearby parks like Gower Holiday Village or Pitton Cross puts you perfectly placed for exploring this stretch of coast. The cliff is free to visit year-round, though winter weather can make the coastal path treacherous. Allow a couple of hours for the full clifftop walk from Rhossili, or just nip out for sunset if you're based locally.
