The library in Llandovery might not sound like a holiday highlight, but Pethau Pawb is genuinely worth a wet afternoon detour. It's a proper community space - part library, part cultural hub - housed in a building that actually feels like somewhere locals want to spend time, rather than just somewhere to grab a book and leave.

Inside you'll find Welsh-language materials alongside English stock, exhibitions that rotate with genuine local flavour, and staff who actually know what they're talking about. There's a real sense that this place exists for the town, not just as a building that happens to be there. The displays often touch on Carmarthenshire's history and culture, which beats generic tourist fare.
