Monday Cleugh Hillfort

The walk up to Monday Cleugh Hillfort rewards you with sweeping views across the Cheviot Hills and a genuine sense of standing where Iron Age people once stood. You're looking at the actual ditches and earthworks, the real defensive layout that protected an ancient settlement, and it's surprisingly moving once you're up there.
