Walking down this narrow medieval lane feels like stepping into a Harry Potter film set - which isn't entirely accidental. Magic Alley runs between Henley Street and High Street in Stratford-upon-Avon's historic centre, its timber-framed buildings and cobbled pathway creating an atmospheric shortcut that's become something of a photo magnet.

The alley itself is tiny - you could walk its length in under a minute - but the Tudor architecture and overhanging upper floors make it feel properly ancient.
