Photography enthusiasts will find decent shots here, particularly early morning or late afternoon when the light catches the estuary properly.

Walkers exploring the Lydney area will find this a natural waypoint rather than a destination in itself. The real appeal lies in the working waterfront atmosphere and the chance to see the Severn Estuary in its element. Allow twenty minutes unless you're genuinely interested in boats, then you might linger longer. Best visited when the tide's in - low tide can feel a bit bleak.
