Loch na h-Uamhaidh

The water here sits perfectly still most mornings, reflecting the hills like glass. Loch na h-Uamhaidh is a quiet freshwater loch near Lochgilphead in Argyll, the sort of place locals know about but tourists often miss entirely. It's small - you can walk the perimeter in under an hour - but that's rather the point. There's no visitor centre, no café, no crowds demanding selfies. Just water, trees, and the occasional fisherman.

This works brilliantly for two types of people. The path is mostly clear and reasonably level, though it can get boggy depending on recent rain.
