About Little Bank
Walkers will get the most from this one. It's not a scramble or anything technical, just steady gradient through typical Yorkshire moorland - gritstone, heather, the occasional stone wall. On a decent day the summit feels lonely in the best way possible. Bring proper boots though; after rain this becomes bog, and you'll understand why the locals aren't impressed by tourist shoes.
It works perfectly as a half-day outing if you're staying at one of the nearby campsites - Philpin Farm or Ribblesdale Pods are both within striking distance. Combine it with exploring Settle itself, which has proper cafes and a good market on weekends. The whole loop from town and back takes the best part of a day if you're not rushing.
There's nothing fancy here - no visitor centre, no facilities on the fell. That's rather the point. If you want manicured views and a gift shop, look elsewhere. If you want to actually walk somewhere that feels like it belongs to walkers rather than Instagram, this is worth the trip from camp.
