The walk up Limlow Hill from Royston doesn't take long, but it gives you proper views across the Cambridgeshire countryside that surprise you given how flat this part of England is supposed to be. You're looking at maybe 20 minutes from town to reach the summit, so it's ideal if you're staying at Guilden Gate Glamping nearby and want to stretch your legs without disappearing for the whole afternoon.

It's the sort of hill that works best for families with younger kids or anyone after a gentle stroll rather than a serious hike. The reward isn't dramatic - no sweeping vistas or windswept drama - but there's something satisfying about standing above the town and seeing the landscape roll out in different directions. On a clear day you'll spot across Hertfordshire too.
