A modest viewing platform on the outskirts of Newry that's gained a following among photographers chasing the perfect shot of the Mourne Mountains. The spot itself is straightforward - a roadside pullout with a camera-shaped marker pointing you toward the vista. On a clear day, the sight lines across the valley toward the granite peaks are genuinely worth stopping for, particularly if you're after that golden hour light when everything goes amber and the mountains lose their flat grey appearance.

Truth is, Kodak Corner won't eat up your afternoon. You'll spend ten minutes taking pictures, maybe fifteen if you're fussy with angles and waiting for clouds to shift. It's the kind of stop that makes sense if you're already driving through the area rather than a destination in itself. That said, walkers heading into the Mournes or visiting Newry might as well swing past - it's free, easy to access, and beats guessing which layby will give you the best composition.

Families with young kids won't find much to do here beyond the viewing itself. Photographers and landscape enthusiasts will get more mileage from it. If you're staying at Kilbroney Caravan Park just under a mile away, or bunking down at Oakwood glamping further into the mountains, it's worth the five-minute detour on your way to longer walks or town trips. Go when the weather's cooperating - there's no shelter, and a grey drizzle turns it into a rather pointless roadside stop.
