It's free to wander through, which is brilliant, though opening hours are Friday and Saturday only (11am to 5.30pm), so you can't just rock up midweek. The work tends towards contemporary sculpture and painting - nothing too obscure or try-hard, which is refreshing.

Crook O'Lune Holiday Park sits just three miles away and makes a solid base if you fancy exploring Carnforth's Lancaster Canal walks and the Lune Gorge. Bay View Holiday Park (4.7 miles) is the better-rated option if you want coastal proximity combined with inland days. The studios themselves don't demand a massive time investment, but they're the sort of thing that adds texture to a week rather than dominating it. Go if you're the sort who actually stops to chat with makers about their work. Skip it if you need instant gratification or formal interpretation.
