You'll find Kelk Beck a quiet spot just outside Driffield, where a modest stretch of water cuts through the Yorkshire countryside. The beck itself is more intimate than dramatic; you're not talking about a vast reservoir or a grand lake, but rather a gentle waterway that's pleasant for a wander if you're in the area.

If you're based at one of the holiday parks strung along the coast - Parkdean Resorts Barmston Beach and Skipsea Sands are both within six miles - Kelk Beck works as a half-hour inland detour on a non-beach day. It won't blow your mind, and you wouldn't build a holiday around it, but it's free, accessible, and offers a bit of variation from the typical seaside park routine. Driffield is close enough that you could combine it with a proper look round the town if something's on.
