Jurassic Fun Centre

A dinosaur-themed adventure park just outside Bridport that works brilliantly if you've got restless kids and the weather's turned damp. You'll find indoor play areas, soft play zones, and various dino-themed attractions spread across the space - the sort of place where children can burn off energy regardless of what's happening outside. It's not profound stuff, but it does the job.

The centre pulls in families on rainy afternoons, school holidays, and weekends when the beaches nearby aren't appealing. Young children under eight get the most mileage out of it; older kids might find it a bit thin after an hour or so. Adults accompanying them can usually grab a coffee and watch from the sidelines.

You're basically a stone's throw from Freshwater Beach Holiday Park and the Parkdean Resorts West Bay location, both within walking distance or a quick drive. West Bay itself - with those famous golden cliffs - is only a mile or so on, so you could easily combine a morning here with an afternoon exploring the clifftops or the pebble beach. Given that Dorset's weather is changeable, having this as a backup plan makes sense when you're based at one of the local holiday parks.
