John's Hill

You won't find much fanfare about John's Hill, which is rather the point. If you're based at Green Hill Farm Holiday Village or The Meadow Glamping, both within five miles, you could combine it with a wider loop through the Test Valley. The ground is manageable year-round, though winter mud can be a nuisance. There's no admission charge, and no specific opening hours to worry about. Allow an hour if you're taking your time and want to sit with the view for a bit. It's the sort of place that works best when you're not chasing it specifically - rather when it falls naturally into a day's walking in the area.
