There's a railway bridge just outside Lingfield that's become something of a canvas for local street artists, and it's worth a quick detour if you're camping nearby. The graffiti here isn't the scrawled sort you'd ignore - some genuinely talented people have left their mark, and it changes often enough that repeat visits actually feel worthwhile.

It's the sort of thing that takes five minutes to see properly, so don't block out your afternoon. Walk up from the town centre and you'll spot it easily enough. Free, obviously, and there's no gate or keeper to worry about. The railway itself still runs here, so if you time it right you might catch a train passing underneath - kids quite like that bit.

If you're staying at Long Acres Caravan Park just down the road, this gives you an excuse to stretch your legs beyond the campsite without driving anywhere. The setting's fairly unremarkable - it's Surrey, so there's the usual mix of fields and suburban sprawl - but the art itself lifts it above a standard rural landmark. Worth seeing once if you're in the area, but I wouldn't recommend driving from across the county for it. The walk's pleasant enough, Lingfield town itself has a few decent cafes to explore afterwards, and if your family are into street art at all, they'll find something to appreciate here.
