The indoor pool at Grove sits on the edge of Lisburn, a proper working leisure facility rather than a tourist attraction trying too hard. It's the sort of place you'd actually use if you were staying nearby - lap swimmers doing their thing, families with young kids splashing about, nothing fancy but genuinely functional.

It's an indoor heated pool, which means you're not battling the Irish weather to get your lengths in. If you're camping at Dundonald Touring Caravan Park or glamping at The Pods at Streamvale - both within five miles - this becomes useful on a drizzly afternoon rather than something worth planning around. The facilities are straightforward: changing rooms, a decent shallow end for children, standard leisure centre stuff.

Families with under-tens will get a solid couple of hours out of it. Serious swimmers can crack on with uninterrupted laps. If you're hoping for waterslides and flumes, you'll be disappointed. This isn't that kind of place.
