Standing just outside Porthmadog, this modest hill offers proper views across Cardigan Bay without the crowds you'll find on Snowdon. The walk up takes about 45 minutes on a clear path, though it's steep enough to get your heart pumping. Worth every step once you reach the top - the panorama stretches from the Llyn Peninsula right across to Harlech Castle on a good day. Families with older children will manage this one fine, though toddlers might struggle with the gradient. The path can get boggy after rain, so decent boots are essential.
