Ellishaw Hill

The walk up Ellishaw Hill from Ilkley is proper Yorkshire moorland walking - nothing fancy, just good honest climbing with views that expand as you gain height. It's not a particularly steep push, which makes it accessible to most fitness levels, though the terrain can be boggy underfoot after rain so waterproof boots are worth the extra weight.

You get genuine fell country once you're up there. The plateau is open and exposed, with views stretching back towards Wharfedale and across to other peaks on the moor.
