Dovehole Hill

The walk up Dovehole Hill takes you straight into proper Cheviot country, with Wooler sitting a few miles south as your launchpad. It's not a massive summit - nothing you'll need ropes for - but the views across the rolling hills of Northumberland are genuinely worth the effort, especially on a clear day when you can see for miles.

The hill itself is a tidy little climb, the kind that gets your legs working without being a full expedition.
