The square itself is modest - a pocket of green in Lisburn town centre dedicated to the writer who grew up round these parts. C.S. Lewis spent his formative years in Northern Ireland, and this space acknowledges that connection without making too much fuss about it. You'll find a statue, some benches, and the sort of quiet that lets you actually think about the man's work rather than just tick off another tourist spot.

It's the sort of place where families with older kids might linger for twenty minutes, and literature buffs will get more from it than casual visitors. If you're into Lewis - The Chronicles of Narnia, Mere Christianity, the lot - there's something satisfying about standing where he walked. Younger children tend to lose interest fairly quickly unless they're already Narnia devotees.

The real draw is the town itself. Lisburn's got independent shops, decent cafes, and it's close enough to Belfast that you're not isolated. From Dundonald Touring Caravan Park, you're only three miles away, so it's an easy afternoon jaunt without needing to plan a full day out. The Pods at Streamvale is similarly near.
