Breamore Former Railway Station

The old station at Breamore is one of those places that stops you mid-walk and makes you think about how differently people moved around a century ago. It's a proper slice of railway heritage, sitting quietly just outside Fordingbridge, with that particular charm of a Victorian-era building that's seen better days but hasn't lost its dignity.

What you're looking at is a station building from the days when the railway actually connected villages properly. If you're camping at Hill Cottage Farm, which sits about four miles away near Fordingbridge, this makes a decent afternoon detour on foot or by car. The surrounding countryside is lovely for walking, and the station gives you a reason to pause rather than just pass through. Free to view from the outside, and atmospheric enough to justify the short trip from your caravan.
