Black Hill Wood

Black Hill Wood sits just outside Clitheroe, a proper chunk of Lancashire woodland that punches above its weight. It's not going to blow your mind, but it does what it says on the tin - quiet woodland walking within easy striking distance of Clitheroe town. Pair it with a walk into town itself or a nearby fell walk, and you've got a proper day sorted. The real appeal here is simplicity. No queues, no entrance fees, no nonsense.
