All Things Wild

All Things Wild sits just outside Evesham and is one of those attractions that works best if you've got young kids in tow - they'll be entertained for a good couple of hours, though don't expect a full day out. It's a zoo focused on smaller animals and reptiles rather than big cats or elephants, which means the enclosures feel more intimate and the kids can actually see what's going on without craning their necks.

The animals themselves are decent - a solid mix of snakes, lizards, spiders, and the sort of creatures that genuinely fascinate children who are past the "giant panda" stage. There's usually a chance to handle some of the friendlier residents, which tends to be the highlight. The whole place is compact enough that you won't be trudging round endless paths in the heat, which is a relief.

Admission details aren't entirely clear online, so you'll want to ring ahead before you visit, but it's worth combining with a stay at Ranch Caravan Park just down the road - barely a five-minute drive - or with any of the other parks dotted around the Bredon Vale area if you're making a longer holiday of it. Evesham itself is properly useful for supplies and meals, and you're close enough to the Cotswolds for proper walking if you need a break from the zoo circuit. Go on a quieter weekday if you can - weekends get rammed with school groups.
