All Saints, Wold Newton

The church sits alone on the edge of Wold Newton village, its stone tower visible across the flat Yorkshire landscape long before you reach the gate. Allow 30 minutes to an hour depending on how much you want to study the details. The village itself is tiny, so don't expect a café or anywhere to eat. Go for the architecture and the peace, not for facilities. It's free to visit, open during daylight hours, and utterly unhurried - exactly what a village church should be.
