Rushbanks Farm Caravan & Camping Site

First time camping with our 4 year old. The team was very helpful on weather forecast and helping us on our questions. The location was easy to find and it had all as expected. Larger areas for tents, clean bathrooms, washing facilities for dishes (bring your washing liquid and sponge) and showers (although we didn't try them). Lovely quiet campsite, tucked away by the river. We visited early September and most other campers left the Sunday, so site was very quiet. I was a bit apprehensive about the portable showers, but they were OK, clean and the water was hot. It is worth hiring a canoe and taking a trip to the Anchor and taking time to look round the village itself.

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Rushbanks with our canoe clubs highlight was our campfire on the Saturday night made all the more special by the ice cream van driving right onto camp- what could be better than eating ice cream, in front on a roaring fire on a beautiful riverbank. We had a wonderful stay and will be visiting you again.

Showering facilities need a huge upgrade; all they have is portaloo showers which wasn't ideal having a infant with us. The toilets were okay, cleaned probably once in the day, and there was always toilet roll & hand soap available. Really nice campsite! Yes, its off grid but we actually thought it added to our experience of teaching the kids to be resourceful (mainly with the fridge and my cold beers!).
