Great place for a nice break with my partner and son. The cabin was lovely, quiet setting, good facilities and very friendly staff that were willing to assist as soon as required.

No one was there when we arrived, and the reception desk said we should call. We did, and the groundskeeper was friendly. Basically, the place has everything you need, at least in theory. But that's where the positives end. The showers are push-button showers that keep turning off. Every time you press the button, ice-cold water comes out briefly. Unfortunately, location was not near Glen Coe as advertised. It was 56 minute drive away. There was dirty spoons and forks left in the room and it was a lot smaller than they had advertised. The hot tub was more like a scalding bath. They did not allow service dogs and complained that I had brought mine even though policy states that you do not need to disclose your service animal. Booked for 3 days as a last minute getaway. We booked Highfield mainly due to lack if availability elsewhere but this was fortuitous for us. Well maintained site with a lovely beach just a few minutes walk from the site. We loved our time here and decided to extend our stay by two days. We stayed on the campsite the check in was by phone and you collected your leaflet with pitch number. We had a fully serviced pitch that we had to cross over grass to get to and with the rain that we had we were not confident that the motorhome wouldn't get stuck and not what we expected of a super pitch.
