On arrival it was clear that the images on the website were far from accurate. What was described as forest floor was more like man made tiny area. A chap who claimed he was the owner agreed to refund us after admitting that you can do anything with photography, if you know what you're doing. Weeks passed, without refund. I called the site and spoke to the owner who reluctantly agreed to a refund....
Excellent spot. Charming site, with neat "forest floor" pitches equipped with a small bench and a fire pit, and adjacent parking. The pitches are screened from one another so despite being close they still feel reasonably private. A good size, although not sure how much room there would be around some of the biggest tents. We stayed for one night mid week just to unwind and relax, and that’s exactly what we did. This site is so peaceful with no road noise. Facilities are lovely and everything is well kept and clean. I stayed at Dearden Wood Campsite for a night with my grandson and his step dad. We were lucky as it was Friday night pizza night which were delicious. The site is really well run and Jessy and Ryan make everyone feel at home.
