You'd be forgiven for missing Wish Park altogether - it's tucked away in the residential bits of Brighton, not exactly screaming for attention. But that's rather the point. This small local park offers a genuine slice of neighbourhood life without the throng of the seafront crowds.

The park itself is a modest green space where families actually spend time. Kids use the playground equipment, dogs get walked around the perimeter, and locals treat it as their patch rather than a tourist attraction. If you're staying at one of the nearby caravan parks - Pegs and Pitches is barely two miles away - it's a pleasant fifteen-minute stroll to stretch your legs properly.

Honestly, this isn't somewhere you'd travel especially to see. But if you're based in Brighton for a week or so and fancy escaping the chaos of the seafront on an afternoon, it's worth knowing about. The walk itself, particularly from the eastern caravan sites, takes you through quieter residential streets that show you how actual Brighton residents live beyond the pier and lanes.
