A proper working gym in the heart of Swansea, Winstone's Fitness Centre is the sort of place locals actually use rather than tourists typically stumble upon. You'll find the usual kit - weights, cardio machines, classes if that's your thing - nothing fancy, nothing pretentious, just functional fitness equipment and changing facilities.

It's really only worth considering if you're staying in Swansea for a few days and can't face a week away from your routine. Families won't find much here; it's not a leisure centre with pools or soft play. Serious gym users might spend an hour or so working through their programme. The casual fitness enthusiast could do the same.

If you're based at one of the nearby parks - Swansea Marina Tourer Park gets excellent reviews at 4.8 out of 5, and SWDA Riverside is rated 5.0 - you're close enough that popping to the gym for a session makes logistical sense rather than a complete departure from your holiday. That said, most people visiting Swansea with a caravan or motorhome aren't coming for the gyms. They're here for the seafront, the Gower Peninsula, or exploring the city itself.

Fully honest assessment: unless you're genuinely bothered about maintaining your fitness mid-holiday, your time in South Wales would be better spent elsewhere. Save the gym trip for home.
