Welsh Highland Heritage Railway

You board at Porthmadog station and the journey takes you inland through the Snowdonia foothills, passing slate quarries and remote valleys that feel genuinely removed from the modern world. The railway fits nicely alongside a broader Snowdonia exploration, giving you something properly Welsh without the Snowdon queues.
