Wee Cauldron Waterfall

The walk to Wee Cauldron Waterfall takes you through proper Highland scenery - woodland paths that feel a world away from Crieff, even though you're barely outside town. The falls themselves are modest but charming, a series of small cascades tumbling into a rocky pool that's genuinely inviting on a warm day. It's the kind of place where you understand why locals keep coming back, not because it's spectacular, but because it works.

You'll want sturdy shoes and about an hour to do it justice, longer if you're dawdling with kids or stopping for photos. The path gets a bit damp underfoot in places - nothing dramatic, but slip hazards exist. Families with confident walkers will enjoy it; very young children or anyone uncomfortable on uneven ground might find it frustrating rather than fun.

There's no visitor centre or facilities, so bring water and whatever else you need. Access is free, and there's nowhere to pay anyway. The best time is spring or early summer when water flow is generous but the midges haven't arrived en masse.
