A proper multiplex cinema right in the heart of Blackburn town centre, Vue is the sort of place you'll end up on a rainy afternoon when the weather turns. They've got the usual blockbuster fare - Marvel films, family animations, the lot - spread across several screens with decent enough seating and decent enough popcorn at indecent prices, as is cinema tradition.

It's ideal if you're staying at one of the nearby caravan parks like Northwood or Dale Hey Farm and fancy an evening out without faffing about. The kids will absolutely want to go, especially during school holidays when they've got the latest animated release on. Adults after a bit of escapism will find it does the job - nothing fancy, but the screens are modern enough and you're not sat behind someone's tall head for once.

The cinema itself is free to enter (obviously you pay for tickets), and you should allow a couple of hours once you factor in finding a seat and getting your refreshments. If you're based within five miles at one of the holiday parks, you're a quick drive away. Worth checking their website for what's actually on and current prices, as they run the usual promotions and off-peak showings. On a weekend during peak season it gets rammed, so weekday matinees are your best bet if you want an actually pleasant experience.
