Ulverston Parish Church

St Mary's Church sits on Ulverston's high street like it's been keeping watch over the market town for centuries - because it pretty much has. Location-wise, you're dead central in Ulverston, just a short walk from the shops and cafes. If you're staying at one of the caravan parks dotted around - Old Park Wood is closest, just three miles out - you can easily pop in when you're exploring the town. It's free to visit, and there's usually someone about if you want to ask questions, though opening hours do shift seasonally.
