If you're basing yourself at one of the nearby caravan parks - Maenan Abbey's only a couple of miles away - this works as a decent rainy-day option or a quick morning stop before heading up into the Snowdonia hills. Llanrwst itself has a decent high street with coffee spots, so you can make it part of a proper valley morning. Worth the detour if you're in the area, though don't expect to spend the whole day here.
