It's a proper off-lead space just outside Llanrwst in Conwy Valley, where pooches can sprint, splash, and socialise without a lead in sight. The park itself is straightforward - open grassland with trees for shade and enough room that even the most energetic spaniel won't feel cramped. Water's usually available for a quick drink, and there's space to throw a ball or two if your dog hasn't already found seven friends to chase instead.

This is absolutely made for dog owners staying at any of the local caravan parks - Maenan Abbey, Erw Glas, or Conwy Valley are all within a few miles. After a morning's walk around the Conwy Valley, your dog needs to burn off that last bit of mad energy, and this is the place to do it. You're looking at 30 to 45 minutes maximum before most dogs have had enough, though some will happily stay longer if they've found a playmate.

It's free, which is a bonus, and there's no faffing about with booking or opening hours - just turn up. Fair warning: on busy days it can get quite crowded with other dogs, which some nervous types find overwhelming. But if your dog loves company and doesn't mind a bit of rough and tumble with other canines, it's well worth the short drive from wherever you're staying. The valley itself is gorgeous for walking, so pair it with exploring the riverside paths near Llanrwst.
