St Davids Cathedral holds one of Britain's most unexpected treasures - a collection of medieval artefacts, ecclesiastical vestments and religious objects housed within the cathedral itself. You're looking at everything from ornate chalices to ancient manuscripts, many of which date back centuries. The treasury occupies a dedicated space in the cathedral, and it's genuinely worth an hour of your time if you're into religious history or medieval craftsmanship.

The cathedral sits just outside St Davids town proper, so access is straightforward. Most of what's on display speaks to the building's significance as a pilgrimage site - there are pieces that travelled through medieval Wales, some donated by wealthy patrons, others salvaged from earlier periods of the church. You don't need specialist knowledge to appreciate the quality of the work, though.

Camped at one of the nearby sites - Caerfai Bay is barely a ten-minute walk away, or Rhosson if you prefer something slightly further out - the treasury slots nicely into a broader cathedral visit. Many people spend two to three hours here exploring both the building and its collections.
