The walk up Tofts Law rewards you with views across the Firth of Tay that justify the grunt of the climb from Tayport. It's not a serious peak - barely 200 metres - but the path is proper steep in places and you'll feel it in your legs. The summit itself is modest, nothing dramatic, but on a clear day you can see right across to the Angus coast and down towards Falkland and the Lomond Hills inland.

This is a walker's spot, full stop. Kids might manage it if they're game for a bit of huffing and puffing, though there's nothing at the top to distract them for long - no café, no visitor centre, just the view and the wind. Thirty minutes up, thirty back down if you're steady. The path gets boggy in places after rain, so decent boots make a difference.

If you're staying at Tayport Links or Larick Campsite just down the road, it's the sort of afternoon outing that gets you out of the caravan without eating up your whole day. Not a destination in itself, but a proper little local walk that locals clearly know about. The real charm is that it's unpretentious - no signs, no facilities, just a hillside with a path and views worth the effort. Worth the detour if you're in the area for a few days, but don't expect anything fancy.
