The Painting Mark

From the nearby caravan parks - Oxon Hall and Love2Stay are both within a few minutes' drive - it's a straightforward pop into Shrewsbury for the afternoon. Worth checking their website or ringing ahead before you visit, as gallery hours can be variable and admission details aren't widely advertised. It pairs nicely with a wander round Shrewsbury's medieval centre or a proper walk along the River Severn if you're staying in one of the surrounding parks for a week. Definitely worth the short detour if contemporary art's your thing, though don't expect a grand day out on its own.
