You're not here for a three-hour marathon - more like an hour if you're genuinely interested, maybe 40 minutes if you're just killing time between other things. It's the kind of place that rewards a slow wander rather than a tick-box visit.

This works well if you're based at one of the nearby caravan parks - St Helena's or Esholt are both under five miles away - as a rainy-day diversion or something to do on your second morning before the kids start whinging. It's free in, which helps justify the detour from Leeds. The gallery leans toward contemporary and craft work, so don't expect Old Masters, but if you're the sort who actually looks at things rather than just walks past them, it's worth the short trip.
