The paddock itself is open grassland bordering the Middlewich Branch Canal, which connects Knutsford to the wider waterway network. You'll find basic facilities - a bit of parking, some benches, decent access. It's a peaceful spot, particularly if you venture along the canal path itself, which stretches for miles in both directions and is genuinely pleasant for a morning walk.
