It's the sort of place where you can crack on for a decent ride without fighting through town traffic, and the terrain is gentle enough that families with confident younger cyclists won't struggle. The playing fields sit alongside, so you'll share the space with footballers and dog walkers, which keeps things feeling alive rather than lonely. There's genuine value here if you're based at one of the nearby holiday parks - Parkdean Resorts Todber Valley or Thornton Hall are both within spitting distance - as a morning activity before the weather turns or when someone in your group fancies a spin rather than another attraction visit. Access appears to be free, which is always a bonus. The real strength is the cycling rather than walking - you're not coming here for views or heritage, you're coming to get outside and move about.
