St Peter's & St Paul's Church

You'll find this church bang in the centre of Warwick, and it's one of those places that rewards a proper wander around. St Peter's & St Paul's is a striking medieval building - all soaring windows and stonework that tells you immediately this was built when the town actually mattered. The interior is surprisingly light and spacious, with some genuinely good stained glass that catches the afternoon sun beautifully.

History buffs will spend a solid hour in here. There's decent medieval detail work, and the whole place has that weight of centuries you don't get everywhere. For families with older kids, it's worth a look if you're already in Warwick town centre - though toddlers might get restless after 20 minutes or so.

It's free to get in, as these parish churches usually are, and you can rock up most days without needing to plan ahead. The real trick is visiting when you've got time to actually look around rather than rushing through. Early morning or late afternoon tends to be quieter.

Warwick itself has plenty else going on, so St Peter's & St Paul's works well as part of a broader afternoon rather than a destination in itself. Worth stopping for, but don't expect it to eat up half your day.
