The red-brick Catholic church on the main street in Tadcaster is easy to walk past if you're not looking for it, but step inside and you'll find proper Victorian craftsmanship. If you're staying at Wighill Park Glamping just up the road, it's worth a ten-minute detour on your way into town for a coffee. Free to look around, obviously - it's a church, not a museum. Allow maybe fifteen minutes inside unless you're genuinely interested in the architectural details. The real draw of the area is the walk along the River Wharfe nearby and the decent pubs that serve Tadcaster's own brewery beer.
