The Rosehill Quarry Labyrinth sits tucked into an old quarry workspace on the outskirts of Swansea - it's one of those places that catches you off guard because you're not quite expecting to find something this deliberately strange in an industrial corner of South Wales. Someone's carved out an actual maze into the quarry floor, and it's properly absorbing to walk around, tracing the pathways without quite knowing if you're heading toward the centre or away from it.

It's the sort of spot that appeals to anyone with even a passing interest in quirky landmarks and offbeat walks. Kids will spend a good 30 to 45 minutes working out the puzzle, though younger ones might find the whole thing a bit repetitive after the initial novelty wears off. The quarry setting itself is atmospheric - all exposed stone and industrial heritage - which gives the whole experience a bit more character than your standard maze.

There's no charge to visit as far as we could establish, and you can rock up whenever suits you. Parking's straightforward enough given the location. It's absolutely worth combining with the nearby holiday parks - Swansea Marina Tourer Park is barely over a mile away, making this a proper easy stroll when you're based in the area. Riverside Holiday Park and the SWDA site are only a touch further out, so you could slot this into a caravan holiday without any faffing about. The whole thing takes maybe an hour including a wander around the quarry itself. Swansea's got plenty happening, but sometimes it's the wonky, unexpected attractions that stick with you most.
