Romeo, Rupert, Ackroyd & Owen Bullet

Four established Lake District artists have joined forces to create this collaborative gallery space just outside Ambleside. Romeo, Rupert, Ackroyd & Owen Bullet showcase contemporary work that draws inspiration from the surrounding fells and tarns, though their styles couldn't be more different. You'll find everything from bold landscape abstracts to detailed botanical studies.

The gallery operates from a converted Victorian house with three main exhibition rooms. Each artist maintains their own space, so you can see how four creative minds interpret the same dramatic countryside in completely different ways. It's a proper working studio too - you might catch one of them mid-brushstroke if you're lucky.

Art lovers will appreciate the quality on display here, though families might find it a bit niche unless the kids are already keen on galleries. The intimate setting means you can really study each piece without crowds pressing behind you.
