Quarry Wood sits on the edge of Market Drayton, a proper woodland walk rather than some manicured nature reserve. The wood fills a gap nicely between a quick morning stroll and a full day out. There's nowhere to buy refreshments onsite, so bring what you need.

It works well as part of a wider exploration if you're staying at Westcott Woods Glamping just down the road - you can combine it with a wander around Market Drayton's market square and independent shops. The wood itself costs nothing to access and doesn't require booking. Go midweek if you can; weekends can feel busy for what is quite an intimate space.
